HOUSING FOR IKIF 2011
This year IKIF has secured housing for participants in the 2011 Festival at COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY. Please note that you must make your own reservations and payment for housing. The Festival will not handle reservations or payment for housing.
There will be approximately 40 beds available at COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY for arrival Saturday, July 16 (from 3pm) with departure morning of Monday, August 1 (by 11am). Housing will be at Carman Hall, which is located at 114th Streeet between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue on the Columbia University campus. The rate will be $77 per night plus tax of 8.375% for a Single with shared bathroom; and $57 per person per night plus tax of 8.375% for a Double with shared bathroom.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you cancel prior to May 14th, 2011, there is a one night cancellation fee. After May 14th, 2011, there is no refund for cancellations.

Should you have any trouble with a housing reservation, please contact the Columbia University Conference Housing Office at (212) 854-0365 or email them at: conferencehousing@columbia.edu.
If you expect to arrive at Columbia University after 9pm on the day of your check-in, please be in touch with the Columbia University Conference Housing Office at (212) 854-0365 at least a week before your arrival so that arrangements can be made. You should also e-mail Julie Kedersha at: info@ikif.org at least a week before your expected check-in if you expect to have a late arrival after 9pm.
If you find you are arriving late due to an unforeseen travel delay, please note the following: there are guards on campus 24 hrs. a day to help with directions and assistance. There is a guard at the front desk of the Carman Hall Lobby, who also has a phone and can call the Assistant on duty who can check you into the dorm. The number for that phone, good only at night from 9pm until 8am, is 646-599-4924. There are always two Assistants on duty and they respond to any calls promptly.
